I'm used to playing as Terran so I have decided to play as Random.

(I know you a can't have a said strategy that is going to be effective all the time because you need to scout and counter accordingly. I'm mainly making this post as a self note but other peoples effective zerg tech routes are welcome too.)

    ZvP Rush:
    6 Pool

    ZvT or ZvZ Rush:
7 Roach Rush or Baneling Bust

    Spanishiwa's FE:

    Scout:
    Xel'naga Towers
    Front of Enemy's Base
    Expansions

    Spread Creep:
    Queens
    Tumors
    Overlords

    ZvZ:
    Lings
    Roaches
    Mutas or Hydras

    ZvT:
    Speedlings
    Banelings
    Mutas

    ZvP:
    Speedlings
    Roaches
    Hydras

When using Hydras if you use your Speedlords to create a Creep Highway then your Hydras can move a lot faster (the Overlords help with Scouting too).

Nydus Worms can help you to expand to awkward locations.

    DRONE UP & UPGRADE!!!

Too vague and probably too low a league to matter. I'm not trying to be cocky but I can guarantee you 100% that you can get to diamond with no strategy whatsoever, just a clear understanding of the races and good mechanics. But if you really really want to create categories then it'd be:
    1. roach plus infestor
    2. ling plus muta
    3. ling plus infestor
    4. roach hydra

More micro intensive and/or lategame combos include:
    5. brood lord, infestor, hydra (ZvZ)
    6. ultralisk, corruptor into brood lord
    7. ling, mass infestor (e.g., the four-festor hit squad, ZvZ)

And in fact any other combo that has merits (cover AA, is flexible, cost-effective, etc.) and you can execute with enough experience. For example I can't execute a simple ling baneling muta in TvZ because I don't have enough practice in that matchup.
